BERN, Switzerland (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti delegation is taking part in the meetings of the board of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) which are held here from April 12 to 21.
Kuwait's Communication Assistant Secretary for the Post Sector Saud Al-Asousi told KUNA that the delegation will attend meetings on projects related to postal economy, postal services, improving services, international urgent mail, amending UPU documents, sustainable development, and government post systems. The aim of taking part in the meetings, attended by delegations from more than 80 countries, is to gain expertise to prepare a plan on privatizing the Kuwaiti postal sector according to the state's development plan, he pointed out. The Kuwaiti delegation includes Al-Asousi as well as head of the ministry's postal planning department Saeed Al-Mezeedi, head of the international postal ties department Saleh Khattaf, and head of the public relations and media department Ahmad Ramadhan. - Kuna
