Traffic jams "common global problem" -- official |

KUWAIT, April 21 (KUNA) -- Measures should be set to find solutions to traffic jams which could be consider a problem on a global scale, said an official here Wednesday.
Undersecretary for road maintenance at the Ministry of Public Works Hussein Thiyab told the first session of the second conference on problems and solutions here that traffic jams had grown to become a serious problem for many countries, saying that solutions must be found to uproot such dilemmas. Meanwhile, head of planning and follow up department at the Ministry Suha Ashkanani called for the establishment of an authority in Kuwait that would handle the situation of traffic jams and find the right solutions for it. The event came out with 20 proposals that would seek measures to counter traffic jams and provide better traffic experience for road users, concluded the official. - Kuna
