Drug control administration organizes lectures for school students |

KUWAIT, May 4 (KUNA) -- General administration of drug control organized a seminar on combating drugs at one of intermediate schools in the country, to spread awareness among school students.
The presenters of the seminar were the drugs and psychotropic substances expert Dr. Ayed Al-Humaidan, and the head of awareness department in the administration, captain Thamer Al-Hajri. This comes as a part of the activities of the sixth meeting of combating drugs on intermediate schools and high schools. The lectures explained the efforts of the administration in combating the spread of drugs in the society and its implementation of the security comprehensive strategy. Al-Mumaidan said that the drop in drugs demand is due to the awareness of the society, calling on any drugs addict to start receiving treatment, regarding that the law would protect any drug addict that submit voluntarily to treatment. Al-Hajri explained the kinds of drugs that have been siezed by the administration, and the ways drug dealers use to approach the youth and invite them to start taking drugs. He advised them to avoid this destructive path by being closer to God, being surrounded by good friends, and obedience to parents, besides consulting specialists. - Kuna
