Kuwaiti officials: benefiting from Singaporean cyber experience "vital" |

SINGAPORE, May 4 (KUNA) -- Visiting Kuwaiti officials affirmed here Monday that it was important to benefit from the Singaporean experience with the cyber and electronic application field, transferring such expertise to Kuwait.
The officials partaking in the e-government services conference here told KUNA that such applications would shorten the time for finalizing government transactions and would lessen bureaucratic procedures. IT official at Kuwait's Public Institute for Social Securities (PIFSS) Ahmad Al-Haddad said the Kuwaiti participation mainly aimed at benefiting from the e-applications experience from participating states. Head of training at Kuwait Program for restructuring the State's workforce, Tareq Al-Kanderi said on his part that hopefully the participation would lead to less bureaucratic procedures in governmental institutions, a notion in line with the government development plans. Meanwhile, Sabah Anan, official at the Civil Service Commission (CSC), revealed that more than 30 Kuwaiti government institutions were partaking in the event which showcased Kuwaiti eagerness for e-development. - Kuna
