KRCS launches 'humanitarian' blog |

KUWAIT: Chairman of Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Barjas Al-Barjas launched here on Thursday a blog that inter-connects members of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO)
, as well as national and humanitarian organizations. The KRCS' blog is a Kuwaiti recommendation, set up in coordination with ARCO. Al-Barjas said on this ocassion that the main goal of this blog is to connect other red cross and red crescent societies together, as well as to provide a place to express ideas and comments through postings. ARCO's Secretary General Abdullah Al-Hazaa' expressed his congratulations on the launch of the blog through a published post, saying that he was happy and that he appreciated Kuwait's efforts to launch an IT domain that brought together advanced technologies and humanitarian work. On her part, head of KRCS' IT department Awrad Al-Yahya said that the blog would be broadcasting news on humanitarian efforts in the region and would also spread the notions of helping and aiding fellow human beings in their time of need. "Humanitarian" is the name used for the blog that reflects the main aim this organization works for, she added. - Kuwait Times
