KUWAIT, May 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's five-year development plan is inclusive of all sectors, including tourism and transforming Kuwait into a financial and commercial center,
said Social Affairs and Labor Undersecretary Mohammad Al-Kanderi on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters following the inauguration of the 'World of Travel' exhibition, he said, "Through the five-year plan, we seek to raise the percentage of tourism in Kuwait through offering direct visa issuance services at the airport, or through the Kuwaiti embassies in Kuwait." He underscored the importance of marketing Kuwait as a tourism destination.
Al-Kanderi said that the ministry exempted the tourism sector from restrictions and conditions for expatriate labor. - Kuna
