KUWAIT, May 24 (KUNA) -- The heavy dust that blew over Kuwait Monday morning was due to a heavy sand storm that caused a drop in horizontal visibility to zero in some desert areas
, said meteorologist Essa Ramadan on Monday. Speaking to KUNA, he said that horizontal vision in area in the north, including northern Jahra City, dropped to zero due to the fast, dray and hot northwesterly winds that were blowing through. He said that visibility at Kuwait Airport was only at a few meters, and such was the case in area around Kuwait city, moving through to coastal areas and Kuwaiti islands. Ramadan expected that wind speed would continue to be moderate until Thursday, with continued dust but improved visibility, adding that the weather was expected to improve over the weekend. - Kuna
