Kuwait asks ICRC to follow up situation of Kuwaiti detainees in Israeli custody |

GENEVA, May 31 (KUNA) -- The permanent representative of Kuwait at the UN in Geneva Ambassador Dhirar Rezouqui asked on Monday the international Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) to follow the situation of Kuwaiti detainees in Israeli custody.
In a statement to KUNA, Ambassador Rezouqui said "what happened to the civilians is a clear violation of human rights, international law." On the same context the Pakistani Ambassador at the UN in Geneva assured to KUNA that he contacted the ICRC on behalf of the Organization of Islamic Conference to know what happened with the detainees and injured in Israel. Many of them are from countries that have no diplomatic ties with Israel," he noted. - Kuna
