National Assembly passes draft law on allowing military to grow beard |

KUWAIT, June 9 (KUNA) -- Members of the Kuwait's National Assembly, the parliament, voted here Wednesday in an ordinary session, following deliberations, for the approval of a first-reading draft law on allowing members of the military to grow their beards.
Further, the parliament passed a request made by head of the foreign relations committee on withdrawing two reports made by his committee on an agreement between Kuwait and Yemen on double taxation avoidance and money laundering and a draft law on mutual encouragement and protection of investment, "to be further studied". Answering a quesion on changing the telephone numbers among the telecom and internet corporations , Minister Communication and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Dr. Mohammad Al-Busairi said that "a committee made up of the three telecommuniations corporations and it will fund the bodies responsible for transferring the telephone numbers." However, he added that, "it was for this to take place on October 10, 2010, but some technical matters caused a caused a postponement and we would finalize everything before the end of this year." - Kuna
