Ministry of Awqaf to open news Quranic studies center |

KUWAIT, June 15 (KUNA) -- The Deputy Prime Minister for Legal Affairs, Minister for Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Rashed Aldolmehsen Al-Hammad, stressed the ministry's keenness in serving and financing the Quranic studies centers and their activities.
The minister was speaking Monday night, on the occasion of laying the foundation stone for a new center in Al-Salam area, through generous donation of Sheikha Moudhi Al-Salem Al-Malek Al-Sabah. The increasing number of students of Islamic studies requires the ministry to build further buildings to serve this field, the minister affirmed. Kuwait is a pioneer in services and programs offered by these centers, he said. The Ministry's undersecretary Adel Al-Falah praised the keenness of parents to enroll their children in Quranic studies centers to instill Islamic values in them at an early age. He stressed there are always new facilities under construction and planning, noting there is cooperation with other ministries to cover both financial and logistic needs of Quranic centers. He hailed the generous donations of Kuwaiti individuals which come in realization of the principle of social responsibility and partnership. - Kuna
