Kuwaiti prison services hailed |

KUWAIT, June 17 (KUNA) -- Services provided to inmates in prisons have been hailed as exemplary, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Correctional Facilities and Rules' Implementation Major General. Anwar Al-Yaseen said here Thursday.
Al-Yaseen made this remark during his inauguration along with director general of the general department of the correctional facilities Major. General. Khaled Al-Dayein the key terminal kitchen of the central prison which was furnished according to the highest level of quality. Al-Yaseen was received by the director of operations at Tariq Al-Ghanim Company Antwan Nader and Nutrition Director Yasser Hamad who accompanied him and presented a detailed explanation on the kitchen's equipment and its potentials on offering meals for the inmates. Further, Al-Yaseen inspected the kitchen's facilities and was briefed on the work mechanism and how the provided services correspond with the applied measures in this respect, asserting that the cooperation between the private sector and the governmental sector yielded fruitful and constructive results. He also pointed out that this project aims at providing healthy meals for the prisoners under the sponsorship of the ministries of health and interior in what ensures health conditions, especially for the patient prisoners as well as offering high-quality meals for all prisoners without discrimination. The remarkable progress made on all the services offered by the correctional institutions came at the instructions of the Minister of Interior lieutenant General. Sheikh Jaber Khaled Al-Sabah and with the follow-up of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General. Ahmad Abdulatif Al-Rajaib, he added. He noted that both of Sheikh Jaber Al-Khaled and Lt. Gen. Al-Rajaib have stressed the necessity of activating the directives of H.H. the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and H.H. the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Muhammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on developing human rights in various fields in order to feature the cultural facet of the State of Kuwait. - Kuna
