Singapore water week tackles water treatment in Mideast |

SINGAPORE, July 1 (KUNA) -- A number of working papers on the Middle East experience in the domain of water treatment were presented Wednesday at Singapore International Water Week 2010.
Official at Sulaibiya's water treatment station Adel Al-Saffar noted to Kuwaiti government's efforts directed towards exploiting treated water, adding that Sulaibiya station is one of the Middle East's biggest stations. Meanwhile, Director of Arab Water Council Prof. Mahmoud Abu Zeid said that it was important to present countries of Africa and the Middle East with alternative water resources especially that these zones had few water resourses; Vice President of African water organization seconded him while noting to the increasing demand of water in Africa. Working papers on water treatment process were presented at the seminar by Oman, Morocco, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. - Kuna
