As for the honorary prize presented by the Polish Embassy and Chopin International Festival 2010 held in Poland, it was awarded to Ryan. The winner was granted a scholarship in Poland along with attending Chobin's competition. Solhi Al-Wadi's competition was a demonstration of "civilizations' dialogue, " and it helped boost relations between pianists worldwide, Qarajouli said in a statement to the press, adding that it helped enhance Syria's cultural position worldwide. Hard work is needed to nurture young talents of which Syria harbors, he said, while the technical Director Wasim Qotob said that the prize honors the memory of late pianists Solhi Al-Wadi, Cynthia Al-Wadi and Chopin. - Kuna
