KUWAIT, July 31 (KUNA) -- A publishing house is launching an unprecedented program designed to set up 100 reading clubs across the country.
Saja Saud Al-Mujaibel, the chairperson of the reading clubs, also called "Al-Jalees project," told KUNA that the non-profitable program is aimed at encouraging citizens and residents of the country to read and enrich their culture and knowledge. Up to 40 reading clubs have already been established, each run by a president and five to 10 staff members, she said, indicating that these clubs furnish the readers with a variety of books and references dealing with human development, history and politics. - Kuna
