Ministers urges labor unions to abide by laws |

KUWAIT, Sept 9 (KUNA) -- Minister of Social Affairs and Labour Mohammad Al-Afasi discussed on Thursday with chairmen of labor unions of the public sector a number of issues related to the General Union of Kuwaiti Workers.
The minister, during the meeting, praised the national and effective role of the syndicates for service of the labor movement in Kuwait, as well as for boosting democracy. He stressed on coordination among chairmen of the unions, as well as with legal consultants "to tackle any problems or obstacles that may be caused by unawarness of some laws." He also urged them to abide by the relevant legislations.
For their part, the chairmen of the unions called for continous coordination and meetings with officials of the ministry to overcome any difficulties facing the labor movement. - Kuna
