Kuwait private universities accept five excellent students of unknown nationality per year |

KUWAIT, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- Private universities and faculties have specialized five seats per year for excellent-record students of unidentified nationality, the Minister of Education announced on Saturday.
Dr. Moudhi Al-Humoud, also the Minister of Higher Education, said in a statement to KUNA that these colleges had responded to her initiative requesting that five seats be allocated per year for these students, effective the 2010-2011 academic year. Students, granted this scholarship, will be distributed according to the majors to be selected by the private universities and faculties, minister Al-Homoud said. Al-Homoud said her initiative was intended to encourage these students and contribute to efforts for securing distinguished human resources for the national development process. She expressed gratitude to the deans and presidents of the universities for their rapid response to "this ideal humanitarian request and their contribution along with the ministry for realization of the development objectives where graduates of a record of 90 grades and higher can be employed. " The minister affirmed that the acclaimed initiative was intended to give a chance for the excellent students to register at the universities, without discrimination. - Kuna
