KUWAIT, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- The UK's Great Ormond Street Hospital will begin Monday to develop medical services at the National Bank of Kuwait's (NBK) Children Hospital in accordance to an agreement signed with the Health Ministry back in June.
Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Qais Al-Dowairi told KUNA that the British Hospital would help NBK hospitals medical staff to develop skills to treat children suffering from cancerous and blood diseases, stressing that such a step would better medical services provided by physicians in Kuwait. The Health Ministry is very keen on developing medical services especially the ones provided to children, said Al-Dowairi. Also on the subject of development, the official revealed that a medical team from Chicago would be visiting Kuwait next Monday. He also noted that Canada's McGill University would be providing medical services for the Chest Diseases Hospital next month. - Kuna
