Kuwaiti social affairs minister calls for further success following automation |

KUWAIT, Sept 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr. Mohammad Mohsen Al-Afasi called on Saturday the ministry's leading officials, especially in the sector of labor sector
, to maintain the rate of success achieved following the qualitative shift of automation. Al-Afasi stressed in a statement following his meeting with the Undersecretary of the Social Affairs Ministry Mohammad Al-Kendari and the other ministry's leading officials the necessity of setting up full linkage between the ministry and all other bodies related to the automation program. This aims to serve the interests of both business people and laborers alike, and to expedite the performance of services offered by the ministry, he made clear. He also hailed what was achieved of the ministry's preparations in the sector of social care on the new school year through providing means of transportation along with preparations made by supervisors in the ministry's day care center for receiving the children of the ministry's employees. Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary of the Labor Affairs sector Mansour Al-Mansour submitted a report on what was achieved of big progress in the sector, especially following the success of the full atomation system, noting during his display of the sector's achievements that next week will see the full linkage between the Social Affairs Ministry and the Ministry of Interior. Further, Al-Mansour asserted that the previous period showed the efficiency and success of the automation system project. Assistant Undersecretary of the Social Care Dr. Jassem Ashknani reviewed with Al-Afasi the sector's plans for improving the services provided for the residents of nursing homes in what includes the development of the sectors of nutrition, health and social care. In the same vein, Al-Afasi asserted that all-out concerted efforts should be exerted in order to make the conference of the Ministers of Labor and Social Affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) due in Kuwait in November 2010 a success. Al-Afasi also called for paying greater attention to the finalization of installations and construction work in various sectors of the ministry and the close follow-up of what was achieved along with pushing forward with the remaining projects as they have an effect on developing the ministry's performance. - Kuna
