His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces , sponsored and attended on Tuesday the graduation ceremony of officers at Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences.
The motorcade of His Highness the Amir was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmed Al-Hmoud Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Ghazi Abdulrahman Al-Omar, Assistant Undersecretary for Education and Training Affairs Lieutenant General Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, assistant undersecretaries and Director General of Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences, Major General Fahd Al-Sharqawi and senior officers.
The graduation ceremony was attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Jassem Al-Kharafi, Sheikhs, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, senior state officials as well as a large crowd of graduate students' families and citizens.
The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran.
Director General of the Academy said in his speech that the Academy of Saad Al-Abdullah bears in mind the challenges and responsibilities facing the security apparatus in the light of changes and developments facing our contemporary world.
"We are aware today of all that is happening around us of sequential and accelerating developments in our region and the resulting instability that would affect the national unity, a matter that requires us to develop the security services and work on updating and organizing them, and strive to advance intellectually and culturally to build a strong relationship between ordinary people and security men", he added.
His Highness the Amir then presented the ceritificates to the graduates and was presented, along with HH the Crown Prince, the Acadmey's commomorative sheild.
