An international test tube baby conference kick-started here Thursday, with a constellation of world doctors and scholars attending.
In a keynote speech, Kuwaiti Minister of Health Hilal Al-Sayer said Kuwait is developing medical expertise to loan a hand to all baby-seeking couples. Due to potential relevant complications, including multiple pregnancies or prematurity, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health has set out regulations for infertility treatment, the minister said. Supervised by Royal Hayat Clinic, the medical conference focuses on the latest research developments in the field of in-vitro fertilization (IVF). It is also aimed to promote women's awareness of multiple pregnancy complications and strategies for reducing such problems. A galaxy of international medical professors will deliver lectures during the gathering, the first of its kind in Kuwait. - Kuna
