KUWAIT, April 5 (KUNA) -- six fire stations extinguished a fire in junkyard for wood in Amghara and luckily no one was hurt, Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) said Tuesday.
Acting Director of Al-Jahra Governorate Liuet Colonel Mohsen Al-Ajmi said in a press release that the KFSD received an urgent call of fire and rushed to the scene, which was a 1,000-square-meter ceramic warehouse, as well as a housing for workers and a metal workshop. Al-Ajmi added that the fire was under control and the teams were able to prevent it from spreading to nearby warehouses. He called on owners of the stores to strictly follow the safety requirements in storage in order to prevent loss of lives of workers and property damage. - Kuna
