Ministry of Education equips schools with CCTV for added security |

KUWAIT, April 5 (KUNA) -- In a step to bring safety and security to schools, Minister of Education Mudhi Al-Humoud inagurated at Salahuddin high school the use of closed circuit tv (cctv)
, the first of many schools to be provided with that service, it was learned here on Tuesday. All the ministry's 771 schools will be equipped with CCTV, whereby at least 12 cameras will be placed appropriately in every school to monitor all school locations and activities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, said the minister in a press statement at the inauration today. This ambitious undertaking on the part of the ministry falls in line with its contribution to the nation's economic plan, she said, underlining other achievements in that regard such as providing hot meals to elementary schools, on-site school clinics, and soon lab tops for all high school students.- Kuna
