KUWAIT, May 14 (KUNA) -- Acting Assistant Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality and Passports Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al-Rashed announced on Saturday
the end of the preparations to launch a security clampdown on residency violators starting on Sunday. The campaign will be launched with the participation of Immigration Investigation Department and other relevant security agencies. Al-Rashed told reporters that the campaign aimed at clamping down on offenders who did not adjust their legal status on their own or leave without being subjected to any legal action. He urged the residency violators to take advantage of the Amiri grant to amend their status and leave the country without any fines, adding that the grace period started as of March 1 and end June 30, saying that humanitarian and material conditions for these offenders have been taken into account.-Kuna
