Kuwait bans working in sun-hit areas |

KUWAIT, June 6 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor on Monday issued an amendment to Article 2 of the ministerial law for 2010 regarding working hours in exposed areas.
The resolution prohibits the employer from placing workers in sun-hit places from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm, starting from June, 1 until the end of August, a statement by the ministry said.
Some 63 notifications were issued so far against companies that violated the law. Kuwait has a desert climate, with temperature reaching as high as 50 plus Celsius during summer. - Kuna
