Sick leave applicants rise |

The number of government sector employees applying for sick leave in the last 7 months is 900,000, and this number almost exceeds the total number of employees obtaining sick leave last year
, reports Al-Jareeda daily quoting reliable ministry sources.
For this reason, the Cabinet has stressed the need to control activities at the government institutions to minimize the phenomenon, as the situation worsens each year, sources added.
The same sources said the government is perturbed by the growing number of sick leave applicants, which points to slackness by the government authorities and Civil Service Commission (CSC) to deal with the issue, even though the sector applies the automation system on sick leaves, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, CSC and the government institutions. -Arabtimes
