KFSD subdues huge fire in Mangaf, rescues 50 |

The firefighters of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) managed Saturday to control a huge blaze at an apartment building in Al-Mangaf area
and rescue 50 persons who were trapped at the seventh and eighth floors. The fire, which broke out at the stairs of the fourth floor of the eight-storey building earlier today injured ten persons along with two firefighters. Fire engines from Al-Mangaf and Al-Fahahail directorates, led by Captain Abdulrahman Malallah and Captain Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, rushed to the scene with turntable ladders. They managed to evacuate the 50 persons stuck at the two top floors after a fierce battle against the fire. Two firefighters, namely corporals Mohammad Al-Marri and Mezyad Al-Otaibi, were slightly injured in the accident. - Kuna
