The Ministry of Communications is sparing no effort for upgrading the internet services that have become the backbone of the national economy, education and social interaction
, the Acting Minister said on Tuesday. Salem Al-Uthayna, the Minister of Electricity, Water, and the Acting Minister of Communications and Information, said in a statement that the ministry compelled the service providers to cut subscribers' fees. The companies have shown desire to cooperate for sake of securing distinguished services and placing Kuwait in the ranks of nations advanced in the cyber world. The ministry is also seeking to increase linkage with international cables to ensure higher speed, cut the costs and minimize effects of recurrent cuts of the cables, the minister said. - Kuna
