Kuwait: As part of its plans to become a commercial and financial hub in the region, Kuwait will construct highways worth $6.2bn over the next three
and a half years, Bloomberg has reported. Kuwaiti Minister of Public Works Fadhel Safar has said that the ministry is currently designing highways that will be tendered in the coming three and a half years, one after the other, for a cost of KD1.7bn and a total length of 550 kilometres (340 miles).
