Northwesterly winds are expected to taper off in the next hours, to be coupled with receding dust and low waves at sea
, said the director general of the meteorological department of the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation. The winds have picked up since the morning hours today, spewing moderate dusts and resulting in high waves at the sea, said Mohammad Karam in remarks to KUNA. The calm weather is expected to prevail till Tuesday, but the winds would re-gain force in the days later. Acknowledging this season's summer peak went on record, he said the temperature in some days, particularly at start of August hit 50 degrees. However, the heat began subsiding in the middle of the month, dropping to 46-48 degrees, Karam added. - Kuna
