Interior Ministry coop necessary for countering labor law violators - official |

KUWAIT, Sept 10 (KUNA) -- Assistant Undersecretary for Labor Affairs at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Jamal Al-Dosari on Saturday underlined the need for continued cooperation between
the Ministry and the General Administration of Immigration at the Ministry of Interior. "Such cooperation will help intensify campaigns against private sector employers who are violating labor law provisions," Al-Dosari said following a meeting with Assistant Director of Investigation Department at the Interior Ministry Hamdan Al-khashm. During the meeting, Al-Dosari underlined that need to intensify crackdown on residency law violators and countering the phenomenon of unregulated labor. He warned workers' employers and agents that they will be penalized if failed to report relevant bodies about absence of foreign workers or their violations to immigration laws. For his part, Al-khashm hailed the cooperation between the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Interior Ministry's General Administration of Immigration in countering the phenomenon of undocumented labor. - kuwaittimes
