Kuwait Teacher's Association (KTC) announced on Sunday, that it will honor 293 teachers (83 male and 210 female teachers), at the annual 8th "thank you teacher" festival.
This celebration and World Teachers' Day will be on October 5. The head of the Preparatory Higher Committee, and KTC board member Laila Abduallah Al-Sherif told media that KTC is working on early preparations for the event. This honoring ceremony comes in accordance with the recommendations of the International Teachers' Conference that stressed on honoring teachers, and granting them the status they deserve. KTC follows a certain criteria in honoring teachers, such as those who spent more than 22 years in the educational field, and have a membership in KTC. The teachers who are being honored have worked since 1989 in the Ministry of Education, reaching a total number of 293 teachers. Al-Sherif called upon those teachers to pass by the public relations department in KTC during working hours, starting from today until October 9, or to call KTC for further help. - Kuna
