Kuwait win bronze in Karate youth team event |

Kuwait took home a team bronze medal at the Seventh World Junior and Cadet Karate Championships which ended in Malaysia on Sunday.
The medal was awarded to Ahmad Saleh, Sayyd Mohammad and Sayyd Salman, who were third in the team Kata discipline of the competition, held under the supervision of Karate's official international body, WKF, team director and member of the Kuwait Karate Federation, Ahmad Al-Duwaila told KUNA. The Kuwaiti team took the medal amid tough competition from some of the world's best karatekas representing 75 nations, including England, France, Italy, Turkey, Russia and Japan, to name a few. Al-Duwaila hailed the fighting spirit of the young Kuwaitis, expressing delight at the remarkable achievement and hoping it would be a stepping stone to many more on the way. The young Kuwait karate team have been doing well recently, in competitions like the Arab Karate Championship, and the Asian Karate Championship. Earlier, Kuwait's Bader Al-Dosari came close to a medal, but had to settle for fourth in the 55kgs Kumite discipline.
