Municipality organizes sanitation awareness campaign |

Director General of Kuwait Municipality Ahmad Al-Sebeeh said Saturday the Municipality and its branches in six provinces has organized field trips and awareness campaigns
among youths and students on importance of cleanliness of Kuwait's environment. Speaking to KUNA, he added that the municipality aims to promote the concept of environmental awareness to youths and school students, to create a generation that maintains the cleanliness of Kuwait. In addition, the municipality launched campaigns for cleaning the beaches with involvement of devoted school students, he said, adding that the maximum effect of these campaigns is to consolidate the concept of sanitation and the importance of maintaining a clean environment. In this context, Mubarak Al-Kabir Governorate Municipality, in cooperation with the administration of public relations in the municipality, launched a campaign to clean Al-Messila, where a number of students at Eid Badah Al-Mutairi Middle School removed garbage and discarded waste. Dr. Saad Al-Jalawi, an official in Mubarak Al-Kabir Municipality, affirmed the importance of awareness campaign to educate and promote maintenance of environment. For his part, Mubarak Al-Kabir Governorate Municipality Director Shereedah Al-Mtairi said the municipality is also preparing seminars to educate students throughout the school year, with theoretical and practical seminars. He added that it is necessary for the parents to play a role in pushing the efforts of Municipality and the Ministry of Education. Another official in the Municipality, Fahad Al-Wandah, called on all ministries and state institutions for cooperation with the municipality in implementing awareness campaigns. For his part, Director of Eid Badah Al-Mutairi School Fahad Al-Ajmi said these efforts encourage and prepare students to hold responsibility in the future.
