Kuwait ranks 3rd with 720 multimillionaires |

Kuwait was ranked third in the region in terms of multimillionaires by Singapore Research and Consultancy Company. According to the study ‘Wealth X’ the company conducted
, there are 720 super rich Kuwaitis whose combined wealth is estimated to be around $120 billion, reports Al-Qabas daily. Kuwaitis constitute 16 percent of the total rich people in the Middle East region. According to the study, Saudi people are the richest, with about 1,225 multimillionaires whose combined wealth is estimated to be around $227 billion, while Emiratis came second. The combined wealth of 775 super rich Emiratis is around $116 billion.
Qatar occupied the fifth position, with 290 multimillionaires whose combined wealth stood at nearly $45 billion, while Syria came sixth as it has 225 super rich people who have around $23 billion among them. Unfortunately, Bahrain failed to find a position in the top eight richest countries in the region. The study stated that regimes in the region are initiating political reforms in the wake of several Arab uprisings.
