Schools to start on time in Kuwait, no delays due to swin flu - Minister |

Kuwait has no plans to delay classes due to start on September 27 for public schools and September 13 for private ones
and said that all precautions have been taken against the swine flu pandemic, Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Moudhi Al-Hmoud said on Monday. Hmoud said that her ministry will cooperate with the Ministry of Health to assure the safety of students by holding training courses and workshops for teachers on how deal with the pandemic, noting that the two ministries have provided all the material needs and manpower to face any emergencies. On reasons for not delaying classes, she said after meeting with education officials that the ministry has taken all steps to assure that the school year proceeds smoothly. Meanwhile, Education Undersecretary Tamadhur Al-Sedairawi said that preparations for the school year are in their final stages, adding that some books have been issued and distributed to school districts.
