Spokesman for the technical committee assigned to Mishref waste water recycling station Dr. Salah Al-Medhi warned Wednesday commercial shops in Hawalli governorate
of industrial littering as result of the malfunction in the station. Al-Medhi, who is also the Director General of the Environment Public Authority, told KUNA that his administration conducted a campaign on many shops in Hawalli which contaminated the troubled station with industrial waste in these times. The official noted that a legal warrant was issue to at least 10 shops, adding that owners of such shops will face legal charges for their abuse. Al-Medhi added that a team of inspectors from the committee will relentlessly continue their tours on Hawalli shops in light of hazards, including contaminated water.
