AlـSayer: New lab at Infectious Diseases Hospital will save time, effort |

Minister of Health Dr. Hilal AlـSayer said here on Sunday that the new lab in the Infectious Diseases Hospital
would save time and effort in regard to tests it conducts on swine flu cases.
AlـSayer told reporters after opening the new laboratory that the laboratory is equipped with the latest sophisticated medical equipment and will contribute to speeding up results of cases infected with swine flu, stressing the importance of intensifying work of laboratories in the coming period.
He asserted that according to the contingency plan, critical cases and cases that are expected to be susceptible to complications from the swine flu are to be firstly admitted to hospital, while medicines are to be given o other cases and be treated at home.
The Ministry of Health is examining the H1N1 virus, known as swine flu virus, in the viruses laboratory and the School of Medicine laboratory in addition to the new lab in the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
