Minister of Electricity, Water assures drinking water safe |

The Minister of Electricity and Water Dr. Bader AlـShuraian assured on Monday that drinking water that is desalinated from the sea is free from pollutants.
In a public statement issued to the press after an inspection tour of the AlـShuaiba electricity and water plant last night, AlـShuraian said: "The drinking water is pollutantsـfree," and noted that tests are conducted every 15 minutes.
He added that the tour included several departments and laboratories in the plant to ensure that all safety measures are being implemented, and that water is being tested to ensure compliance with the required specifications.
The minister himself drank water from the plant to assure people that it is free from any pollutants. He also met with workers, and listened to a detailed explanation of the plant''s operation in desalinating and testing drinking water
