The Ministry of Interior reiterated on Thursday the need to abide by the ministerial order for having a clear criminal record for any expatriate coming to reside in Kuwait.
The Ministry''s Department of Security Media, in a press release, said that expatriates have to present the necessary accredited documents from their governments indicating that they have no criminal records to the Kuwaiti embassies in their countries. The document must be recent, and should be issued not more than three months ago, it said, adding that this procedure has been put in place to prevent the forgery of passports or using aliases to enter the country, in order to evade the authorities. Expatriates exempted from this requirement are those under the age of 18, it concluded.
