A total of 1,723 of the individuals arrested by Ahmadi police on charges ranging from expired residency visas to committing indecent acts in the first six months of this year were referred for deportation.
A senior security official said that Ahmadi governorate had seen the lowest crime figures among all Kuwait's governorates, 11 percent of the total as a result of its proactive policy, reported Al-Qabas. The official added that a further 79 beggars, 25 of them female, had been arrested in the area since the start of Ramadan, with all being referred for deportation. The security insider also revealed that a Bangladeshi man arrested while begging at a local mall had been wearing an official uniform when he was detained.
