Amir greets citizens, expats on Eid Al-Fitr |

The Amiri Diwan yesterday conveyed His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah's warmest congratulations to Kuwait's citizens and expatriate residents on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr
, expressing a prayer that they would continue to live in love and harmony. In its message, the Amiri Diwan also congratulated His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, and His Highness the Prime Minister on this prestigious occasion. The Amiri Diwan congratulated the Kuwaiti people and all the expatriate residents in the country, further praying that the occasion would also be a cause for joy in the Arab and Muslim states and that they would henceforth enjoy greater security and peace. The message also offered a prayer that Almighty Allah would protect Kuwait from all harm, and that the country would continue to prosper under the sound rule of its wise rulers. HH the Amir also exchanged cables of congratulations on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr with leaders of Arab and Muslim states, in which he expressed his warmest sentiments on this occasion to the leaders, praying that it would benefit the Arab and Muslim people and that they would enjoy greater peace and security. HH the Amir also yesterday received a telephone call from Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, in which the Egyptian ruler expressed his congratulations on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. President Mubarak prayed that this joyous occasion would benefit the Arab and Muslim people, that they would prosper and that Almighty Allah would continue to bestow good health and wellbeing on the Kuwaiti leader. On his part, His Highness the Amir thanked the Egyptian leader for this warm gesture and voiced hope that Egypt and its people would continue to prosper and advance under the wise rule of their president.
