The press department at the Information Ministry has resumed the printing of the Holy Quran after such operations ceased more than half a century ago, said an official Saturday.
General Manager of Al-Khat Printing Press Mohammad Abu Khaled told KUNA that such operation was an honor for all Kuwaiti printing institutions, adding that the latest in printing technology would be utilized in the process of printing the Holy book. The printing of the Quran would used to spread knowledge about the holy book within Kuwait and abroad, stated Abu Khaled, adding that the printing process would be very accurate to evade problems faced in the past. A special team was assigned to spot any mistakes in the textual content of the print to make sure that the job was well done, he state. The first print of the Holy Quran dates back to half a century ago with the exact date being 1959.
