Festival entertainers affirm need to encourage youth |

Nationals entertaining the ongoing youth festival, dubbed "We Revived Dimensions of Passion
," called for encouraging the young nationals to practise sports and turn into professional athletes for sake of taking part in external activities. Abdel Salam Al-Turki, interviewed by KUNA, expressed admiration at the level of the activities, performed by the youth during the ongoing festival, singling out the star of the workshop, Basma Al-Saeed, a blind, who dazzled onlookers with her paintings. Several nationals of special needs have also taken part in the workshop, displaying their artistic skills. Suleiman Al-Shayji, another national, affirmed necessity to instill the spirit of collective work among the young, called for examining skills at an early age for sake of working scientific plans for developing these skills. Mike of the Marina FM radio station said the holding of such festivals is necessary to promote the civic image and identity of Kuwait. He also praised the diverse works that were displayed during the activity. The activities have included parkour shows by the national team, formed in 2006. Parkour players perform various adventurous acts and acrobatic stunts, such as jumping over hurdles and leaping above barriers or low fences. The game is increasingly attracting fans throughout the globe -- particularly among the youth. Young Kuwaitis, aged between 16 and 18, are taking part in the three-day workshop, displaying diverse paintings and photos.
