The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) stressed that its colleges took all measures to prevent the spread of swine flu
during the new academic year, to begin Sunday. PAAET's dean of student activities and care Dr. Ahmad Al-Failakawi told KUNA that the measures were taken since September 9, according to a decision by the authority's director to form emergency committees in cooperation with the Health Ministry. He pointed out that students will be given information on the virus during the first class, adding that 17 messages will be sent to students via Short Message Services (SMS) to remind them of procedures to prevent getting swine flu. Meanwhile, director of the nursing institute Shaikha Al-Mithin said that awareness publications were printed, emergency teams were formed, and classrooms, labs, offices, and isolation rooms for infected people were prepared. She said that the number of students in each class was reduced so that students could sit a meter apart from each other.
