The Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to The Philippines Bader AlـHouti assured in remarks to Kuwait News Agency
(KUNA) Monday that all Kuwaitis currently residing in the Philippines are safe and unharmed after Tropical Storm Ketsana wreaked much havoc and devastation that left at least 80 people dead. The diplomat told KUNA that "none of the embassy staff or the insignificant number of Kuwaiti students were harmed in any way." The embassy, he remarked, was "still in contact with the students to help them sort out their affairs and problems following the storm." The tropical storm brought along the worst floods the country has known in decades and over 250,000 people were forced to evacuate their homes in fear of floods.
