Kuwait to import 200,000 heads of animals for Adha festival |

ivestock Transport and Trading Company said here Sunday it would import nearly 200,000 heads of sheep for Al-Adha Day (Greater Bairam) in the coming few weeks.
The move is part of the company's unwavering commitment to providing the largest possible number of sheep in a bid to meet the needs of the local market during the sacrificial festival, the company chairman, Bader al-Jarallah, told KUNA. The company is expected to receive four ships carrying 200,000 heads of sheep from October 8 to November 22, i.e. ahead of the festival, he added. By so doing, the company is seeking to ensure food security in Kuwait, al-Jarallah pointed out. The Company's principal activity is to carry out all operations of producing, transporting and trading livestock and all kinds of meat. The Company construct and buy farms, pastures and land necessary to maintain the company's objective.
