Kuwait keen on protecting labor rights -- official |

Kuwait has always been top among nations in the realm of addressing affairs related to work development and has been keen on protection of workers' rights, an official said on Sunday.
Undersecretary for Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Mohammad Al-Kandari told KUNA after meeting with the Regional Director and Assistant Director-General of the International Labor Organization(ILO) Office for Arab States in Beirut, Nada Al-Nashif, that the organization's role is important and deserves praise. He affirmed Kuwait's continuous bids to ensure enforcement of international conventions and laws for the protection of the workers. Al-Kandari noted significance of the workshop, organized by Kuwait for GCC for the issue of culture leadership and the business world, due to open here on Monday and proceed till Thursday. For her part, Al-Nashif thanked the officials of the ministry for warm welcome and participation in the workshop, due to be under auspices of Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr. Mohammed Al-Afasi.
