Kuwaiti, Indonesian officials discuss status of labor |

Director of the General Department of Immigration at the Interior Ministry Brigadier Kamel Al-Awadhi on Tuesday discussed status of Indonesian labor in Kuwait with Advisor at the Indonesian Ministry of Economy Erivan Habibi.
The meeting, attended by Indonesian Ambassador to the country Feisal Ismael, is within a project to sustain dialogue and exchange information on expatriate labor, especially housemaids, Security Media Department of the ministry said in a statement. Habibi, who is also head of his country's delegation, said one the visit's objectives was to work on regulating the process of bringing Indonesian work force, examining its problems and reaching solutions for it, as well as being briefed with Kuwait's project of establishing a shareholding company for the bringing and employing of expatriates. On his part, Ambassador Ismael valued efforts exerted by Kuwait in this regard, which, according to him, would contribute in sustaining ties of cooperation and friendship between the two countries.
