Dr. Abdelwahab Al-Fowzan, a consultant dermatologist announced here on Saturday the convening of a conference on skin diseases in children
under the auspices of the Minister of Health, Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer next Tuesday with the participation of scores of visiting physicians. Al-Fowzan who serves as Chairman of the Kuwaiti Skin Association, said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the three-day conference, will discuss several issues related to skin diseases in children, especially from the age of 12 years and below, adding that the participating physicians would tout their experiences about the diseases that affect children. He pointed out that the conference will discuss the latest research in the treatment of skin diseases in children and genetic disease, and discuss all sorts of psoriasis, fungal disease in children, immune imbalances, eczema and allergies. Al-Fowzan stated that the scientific program of the Conference contains a lot of papers and scientific research, the latest findings in medicine in the treatment of skin diseases in children, which will be discussed by a number of senior doctors, consultants and specialists from different countries of the Arab world and West. He said that the child's skin is like the adult that is subjected various skin diseases, stressing the importance of parental supervision to all changes that affect the baby's skin. He said that the medical conferences in our time are an important means for the exchange of information and medical expertise in various disciplines as they are one of the means of continuing medical education through workshops, lectures and seminars.
