Sheikh Saad squash tourney kicks off Sunday |

The 2009 International Squash Tournament of the late Father Amir Sheikh Saad al-Abdullah al-Sabah will start here on Sunday with 64 professional male players from 24 countries participating.
The first day of the seven-day event will see 32 games at al-Salmiya indoor courts and the glass court of the Green Island, the higher organizing committee said on Saturday. The public will be allowed to watch the games at the courts for free in order to be able to get acquainted with the best players of the world, deputy chief of the committee Jansher Khan told reporters. The tournament, the first of its kind to be held in Kuwait, will be the best international event which will make the State of Kuwait best remembered by the coming generations, he pointed out. Khan spoke highly of the great efforts made by chairperson of the committee Sheikha Fadia Al-Saad Al-Saban and her team to set the state for the event. - Kuna
